5 Minute Makeup Look

As a busy mommy of two, I know that time is of the essence. I also know that many women feel like giving up on looking good once they have children but I am here to tell you, you don’t have to! Even if you’re a busy working mom, constantly on the go like me, there is still time to look your best. I know that every second counts when you have kids, so on days when I just don’t have more than 5 minutes to spare; I have perfected a 5-minute or less makeup routine that never fails.
Between changing diapers, feeding the kids, and packing diaper bags or back packs, not much time is usually left for us. The key to having a good 5-minute makeup routine that never fails is using multi-tasking products that really work. This is my key secret to looking fresh and polished in a matter of minutes. When I have more than 5 minutes to get my makeup in place, my face routine is different and I take the time to switch up my products, but this is my go to routine for those times when I need to get it done in a hurry.
Now, I have tried hundreds of products over the past few years and these are my ‘Holy Grail’ items that I currently use to give me a complete and flawless face in 5 minutes or less.Whenever I am in need of a little #BeautyInspiration I gravitate straight to Walmart for my drugstore mascara, drugstore foundation and all of the products I need to pull off a 5 Minute Makeup Look! Today we’re gonna chit chat about how y’all can get this quick go-to look as well with ALL Rimmel products! Is that not the best? I love creating a whole look from one brand! It makes my life so much easier!

This eye makeup look is SUPER easy to accomplish! Like I said, we’re using all one brand so you can just run into your local Walmart and grab all of these awesome RIMMEL products and you’re good to go! First things first, I started with the RIMMEL Stay Matte Foundation, perfect for 5 minute makeup looks because it’s super lightweight but has pretty full coverage during application so I don’t need to use any sort of concealers when I am using this!

5 Minute Makeup Look

STEP 1 ||  APPLY ALL OVER YOUR FACE ||  I squeezed out about a nickel sized amount of product onto the back of my hand & used a damp beauty sponge to apply this. You can really play with the coverage and if you’re planning on doing a 5 Minute Makeup Look this can be your primer, concealer & foundation all in one. Just focus on different areas when applying and if you need a bit more coverage build the foundation up there. This feather light, oil free formula with an airy mousse texture makes it so that you don’t have that heavy cakey feeling and you won’t look greasy. Delivers all day shine control and blends flawlessly for a natural looking matte finish. Minimizes the appearance of pores (which is why for the purposes of a quick/no-time at all look you can think of this as your ‘primer’ as well) and is the perfect base for your look!

STEP 2  ||  APPLY SHADOW STICKS TO YOUR LID ||  As shown in the graphic above you’ll want to grab three of your favorite RIMMEL Scandeleyes Shadow Sticks and apply the lightest of three shades to the inner corner of your eye (as shown in section #1) for that highlight. Apply another shade of your choice (as shown in section #2) to your lash line, I went with Tempting Turquiose to have a bit of fun for the quick look without being too time consuming. Then you’ll want to apply your final shade (as shown in section #3) all over your lid, I went with Bulletproof Bronze!

STEP 4 ||  APPLY YOUR EYELINER  || You’ll want to go with a liner that is easy to apply, glides on quickly and has some staying power! For me, that’s RIMMEL Scandeleyes Gel Eye Liner and I am obsessed with this stuff! You get an intense color that doesn’t smudge, run or flake off.

STEP 5 ||  APPLY YOUR MASCARA  ||  Have you ever met a mascara that you just couldn’t live without? I have and I would like to introduce you to the RIMMEL Scandeleyes Retro Glam Mascara in ‘Extreme Black’! I like to really play up my mascara when I am doing a simple look! You can get the false lash look without actually having to take the time to apply falsies! With drugstore mascara you can really get a lot of bang for your buck! The brush is fabulous, an hour-glass brush shaped to the lash line to plump lashes, fanning them up and out for bold, wide-eyed volume. You really get a bold, big, false lash look in one simple stroke. No clumps!

STEP 6 ||  BRONZER  || Apply your brozer just below your cheekbones, a bit on your jaw line, a bit to your temples and right around your temples to get that easy sun-kissed natural bronze look in less then 5 minutes!

STEP 7 ||  APPLY YOUR LIPSTICK || Since I was going for a 5 Minute Makeup Look I knew I had to multi-task! I used the lipstick not only for my lips but as a blush too so I could have that natural flush! This shade, #28, was the perfect one to use! Super creamy, buildable and intense color for your cheeks & lips!
